Sean has been responsible for installing new equipment at various high security
locations, and has made recommendations on increasing security levels following
September 11. He has also spent several months in France working on important
security projects.
BSIA Chief Executive David Dickinson commented: ‘Apprentices are the future of
the installation sector - to be able to meet the demands of a constantly-evolving
business environment, we need young people who are professional, well-trained
and have a genuine enthusiasm for their career.
‘We launched these awards last year to highlight what can be achieved and demonstrate
the standards we should be aiming for. I am pleased to say that their aims seem
to have captured the industry's imagination, and the judges were extremely impressed
by both the quantity and quality of nominations.’
The Awards recognise apprentice installers who have shown a great deal of promise
and a commitment to quality. Judging categories cover theoretical grasp, range
of technologies dealt with and customer interface skills.
