The SafeContractor Scheme is a major initiative that works to the benefit of both
contractor and client. Under current legislation a client has a legal obligation
to ensure the safety of contractors working on their site.
A sign of high quality safety practices
 There
is therefore a need to assess contractors health & safety arrangements before
allowing them to work on a companies premises. This is a potentially time consuming
and costly process. To mitigate this potential expense, G4S Security Systems has taken
the initiative and become SafeContractor Approved in order to remove this onerous
process for our clients.
You can now rest assured that our health and safety standards are second to none,
ensuring that you can focus on your own business, whilst we can get on with securing
your business and premises without delay.
Nationwide Business Support
Already many large organisations (including Nestle, Debenhams, RBS, HSBC and Mowlem)
use the Safecontractor as their primary means of selecting contractors. Safecontractor
is effectively the clients approved contractor list.
 In
addition to being a SafeContractor approved company in both CCTV and Security
Systems, G4S Security Systems is also accredited with the ability to safely sub-contract
works if required. This ensures that not only are our employees covered by the
scheme, but also any sub-contractors that we may use in the course of a project
will also be covered by the scheme, ensuring you total peace of mind.

Our Policy Statement, Organisation Chart, H&S responsibilities, communication
with employees, health and safety training, procedures/method statements, permits
to work, manual handling, risk assessments, H&S adviser, breaches of H&S
legislation, emergency procedures, welfare arrangements, work equipment - testing
and maintenance, personal protective equipment, first aid and accident reporting,
COSHH assessments, health surveillance, accident history, implementation of the
policy, control of sub-contractors.
